We’re Popping Up at Wood St Market

Ossett Observer’s Creative Swap Shop is BACK and this time it’s ‘POP-UP‘.

As part of Wood Street Market on Sunday July 21st we’re taking over an empty shop on Wood Street in Wakefield and we’re going to be hosting our FAMOUS Creative Swap Shop. These are fabulous, fun, creative and social events where we get makers to come and meet up and swap something lovely that they have made for something lovely that someone else has made.

All you need to do to take part is turn up with something that you have made yourself and be ready to swap. Our swap shop helpers will be on hand to introduce you to other makers and creative types.

Every item offered for a swap will become an #OssettOriginal … but you don’t have to be from Ossett to enter this time, we want folks from across the Wakefield District to bring anything they have made to our swap shop, we’ll be making a #WakefieldWonder.

There’ll be Music from the Enigmatic Mr Beaumont who will be running his ‘Platters That Matter’ sessions in a specially created ‘Consulting Room’. If you have a favourite tune and would like to share it with Mr Beaumont, confidante, musicologist and confirmed bachelor please bring it along on Vinyl and he’ll give it a spin and listen to your tales. He can also wrangle the new fangled Spotify if you don’t have your tune on vinyl anymore. He offers tea, coffee, fine biscuits and solace so come rest up and have a natter with Mr Beamont about your favourite tunes.

Don’t Miss Out, Wood Street Market is going to be a great place to spend your Sunday Mornings. See you There
