Ossett Ukulele Philharmonia at Brighouse Festival

Join Ossett Ukulele Philharmonia as part of Brighouse festival where they will be performing in the beautiful surroundings of St John The Divine.

Ossett Ukulele Philharmonia started life as a community music project in Ossett in January 2012. Within 5 months they had made their first public performance at Holmfirth Festival of Folk and had over 25 members. Since then they’ve performed at Flock To Ossett Festival, Wakefield Literature Festival, Bradford Cathedral, Slunglow’s HUB, Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield One, Grassington Festival, Long Division Festival, Disability Rocks and Junction Theatre Goole.

Led by Musical Director Jacqui Wicks their performances are joyful and their enthusiasm for their chosen instrument is infectious.  With a varied repertoire of blues, jazz, folk, soul and traditional songs they will put a spring in your step and a smile on your face.

Join them at Brighouse Festival on Wednesday 18th September for an evening of sing-along, uplifting and glorious music making.

After the performance there will be a singalong/Busk/Jam led by the band so please bring along your ukulele and join in the fun.

Tickets cost £7 and you can buy tickets [HERE]

You can download the Brighouse Songbook here.

See you there.
