How To Be A Snowflake

If our flyer for #1000snowflakes has brought you here, hello and welcome.

We’re going to be running an arts project in Ossett over the next few months called #1000snowflakes, from yarnstorm to snowstorm. We here at Ossett Observer reckon that like snowflakes you are unique, an individual and we want you to demonstrate your originality by making snowflakes towards our installation.

Snowflake Brief

Snowflakes should be made from white material only.

You can work in wool, felt or cloth. You can sew, knit or crochet.

Snowflakes should be no wider than 8 inches in diameter and decorated only in white or silver thread, buttons, beads, sequins.

Be An Ossett Original

Once you’ve decided how you are going to make your snowflake, be original,  make it your own, sew a bead on, perhaps your initials in silver thread, as long as the snowflakes fit the brief we can use them.

Once you have completed your snowflake you can drop them off at the following Ossett Emporiums

Dean Austerfield Flooring – Wellgate Centre

BierHuis – SeeMore Arcade

Amaryllis Flower Shop – SeeMore Arcade

Eller Coffee – Station Road.
