We wanted to give Jodie Hawkins a special mention as an Ossett Original. Jodie was born and educated in Ossett and after training to be a journalist became a feature writer and music reporter for The Wakefield Express. She is now a freelance writer, editor and blogger and keeps us entertained with her weekly slices of family life in her blog A Quirky Kook.
Jodie was one of 27 people who turned up to our first ever Ossett Observer event, a tweet up at Eller Coffee in Ossett in 2011, and we think she’s been to everything since. She brings her mum and her children to just about everything we do and it is always a joy to see her and her growing up family.
Jodie has made a huge contribution to our events by blogging beautifully for us, by taking terrific photographs and by joining in and we like joiner inners. Thank you Jodie.
